Day 19

They began framing our house today and it looks like the first story is complete.  We got to watch the workers loading large pieces of wood on top to begin framing the second story.  That was pretty fun for the kids to see (and us too)!

Day 17

The wood was delivered for the house two days ago.  We're hoping to go by the house today (which is actually day 18) to see if they have begun putting up the walls.  It's so exciting!

Day 13

Ken and I visited the new house yesterday.  It was the first time I've gotten to walk around the lot since they started building.  It was so neat to see it all up close.  It's amazing to watch the way a house gets put together!  We continue to praise God for this wonderful gift!

The top picture shows the house from the front.  On the left is the garage and the house is behind it.  The bottom picture shows the house from the backyard. It will be the kitchen on the right and the great room on the left.  There will be a covered patio where the blocks are in the bottom picture.

Day 12

It was really fun to see the house today.  When we've visited on the other days, it was late in the day and the workers weren't there or they were just finishing up for the day.  Today we went in the middle of the day so it was so fun to see all the busy activity.  They were pouring and smoothing the cement for the foundation.  I saw a truck delivering blocks that I suppose are for the block walls separating the properties.  And a gentleman in the office told me that soon the wood will be arriving to start building the walls.  It's really so neat to watch this dirt lot transform into our house.  Evan and Katelyn are seen here on the bed in "Evan's room" of the model house.  They love to explore the model house.  We never get tired of visiting it. 

We are continually thanking God for this tremendous blessing that seemed so out of reach.  Thank you, Jesus!

Day 6

Here's our house on day 6.  They trenched for the pipes and it looks like they are getting ready for the foundation. 

Day 1

Here's our house being built on day 1.  We'll be going over each week to watch the progress of the house.

We're buying a house!!!

Our big news of the summer is that we put a deposit down on a brand new house being built in Rancho Cucamonga.  It will be so thrilling to have more space for the kids to run around.  We can't believe how much God has been blessing us along this journey.  We hope others can see his fingerprints along the way too!
